Meet Our Surgeons

Each member of the Chattanooga Bone and Joint surgical team offers state-of-the-art care in all aspects of orthopedic surgery.

Martin Redish, M.D.

chattanooga bone and joint surgeonsA proven and respected orthopedic surgeon in Chattanooga for more than 20 years, Dr. Redish is a native of Indianapolis and a graduate of Indiana University Medical School. He completed a residency at the University of Tennessee at Erlanger Medical Center and, as chief resident, managed an active trauma service. Following residency, Dr. Redish entered private practice in association with Paul C. Thompson, M.D., a noted total joint replacement pioneer. Less than three years later, he established Chattanooga Bone and Joint Surgeons.

Dr. Redish's professional focus is on general orthopedics, with an emphasis on joint replacement and hand and foot surgery. He has created successful new methods of surgical treatment of the calcaneus (heel bone). He was the first in this region to perform minimally invasive partial knee resurfacing, a popular new alternative to total knee replacement. Dr. Redish enjoys the outdoors, basketball, and playing bluegrass mandolin. He and his wife, Edie, have two sons.
